Jodi joined Hall Brown as part of our specialist children law team in July 2018, and has significant experience advising on a broad range of complex and sensitive matters involving children. She is frequently instructed in cases involving serious safeguarding concerns, allegations of harm, and high-conflict disputes around living arrangements and contact.
She has represented parents and other family members (including grandparents) in cases involving allegations of domestic abuse, substance misuse or mental health difficulties, and also advises on matters with international elements, including child abduction and relocation. She works closely with other professionals to ensure that children’s welfare remains at the centre of every case.
Jodi is also able to advise in relation to issues arising under the Family Law Act, including proceedings involving applications for Non-Molestation Orders.
Jodi is committed to achieving the best possible outcomes for children and their families and prides herself on providing straightforward and pragmatic advice combined with empathy and dedication to clients navigating emotionally charged legal situations, striving to create a supportive environment for clients during difficult times.
Outside of the office, Jodi sits on her local fostering panel, and is also a trustee of GMYN, a charity which supports young people across Manchester, reflecting her commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of children and families.
