Laura Guillon

Senior Associate Solicitor

Laura trained and qualified at a national specialist family law firm before moving to JMW in 2014 to work with James Brown and Sam Hall. Laura is half French and bilingual.  Laura’s legal ability has already been recognised by the independent directory Legal 500 describing her as “exceptional”.

Laura specialises in all areas of family law with a particular emphasis on financial remedy proceedings and international relocation of children. She has significant experience working with high profile individuals and prides herself on her discretion and professionalism no matter who the client.

Laura has worked on cases involving complex trust assets, property abroad and allegations of serious domestic abuse. In addition she has a wealth of experience in dealing with issues prior to marriage, primarily cohabitation agreements and pre-nuptial agreements.

Laura gives concise, straightforward advice and seeks to ‘cut through the detail’ to help her clients navigate whatever situation they may face. At the same time, she recognises the emotional impact separation has on the individuals involved and keeps a firm focus on the whole family dynamic, in particular the importance of parents maintaining a healthy working relationship following separation.

Laura is a regular contributor to legal and non-legal publications including but not limited to Family Law Journal, The Daily Mail and Radio Four Woman’s Hour.
