Ella Ashforth 

Solicitor

Ella has practiced exclusively in family law since 2018, having qualified at a boutique family law firm in June 2021, before later moving to a regional Legal 500 firm.

Ella joined Hall Brown in September 2024 and is based at the Sheffield office.

She advises on all areas of family law, specialising in child arrangements and financial disputes arising from divorce.

Ella recognises the importance of taking the time to listen to her client’s and their goals, and prides herself on providing pragmatic and empathetic advice. She is a member of the family law association Resolution and strives to resolve matters in an amicable manner outside of court where possible.

Ella studied at Nottingham Trent University and graduated with a first class honours degree in Law. She was one of only two students from her graduating year who were awarded the Nottingham Law School Dean’s Award for Outstanding Contribution.

Outside of work, Ella enjoys skiing, spending time with her friends and family, and walks with her miniature labradoodle.
