Hall Brown Family Law has been named as one of the stars of Yorkshire’s legal profession for the second successive year.

It claimed the Niche Law Firm of the Year title at the Yorkshire Legal Awards just 12 months after taking the Family Team of the Year prize.

Judges described how the latest win had been down to Hall Brown’s “exceptional expertise” and “dedication” to providing clients with the best possible service.

Partner Laura Guillon, head of the firm’s Leeds office, said that the back-to-back awards were an indication of Hall Brown’s emphasis on ensuring consistent excellence.

“We are absolutely thrilled to once again be recognised as being among the very best in Yorkshire.

Partner and head of the Sheffield office, Alison Fernandes, added “There is so much legal talent on this side of the Pennines that to triumph in a category open to firms across all legal specialisms really demonstrates the impact which both the Leeds and Sheffield offices have made.

“To be honoured, in particular, for our efforts on behalf of clients is extremely satisfying because we believe that clients come first.

“We do our utmost to help individuals through what can be some of the most challenging periods of their lives.

“The collective experience within Hall Brown, both in Yorkshire and elsewhere, is regarded as being among the very best available and that means that we are able to tackle even the most complex circumstances to secure the best possible outcome for clients.”

Hall Brown was chosen as the best from of a shortlist of eight finalists in the Niche Law Firm category.

In presenting the prize during a ceremony at New Dock Hall on Leeds’s waterfront, organisers spoke of how Hall Brown had “stood out” to judges for the “calibre of their work and the dedication behind it”.

Hall Brown’s Yorkshire success also completes a cross-Pennines double after it was named Family Team of the Year at the Manchester Legal Awards.

It is the third trophy collected by the firm in a matter of months, following victory in the Family Law Firm High Net Worth category at the PAM eprivateclient Excellence Awards last week.

Hall Brown is still also in contention for two further titles at the LexisNexis UK Family Law Awards, which will be decided on the 18th of November in London.

The firm has enjoyed a similarly golden run of recognition in the legal profession’s leading rankings, retaining its place in the top tier of the Doyle’s Guide, Legal 500, Chambers and Partners, The Times and eprivateclient.

In April, celebrations of the tenth anniversary of its launch coincided with Hall Brown being named one of the UK’s 10 Best medium-sized Places to Work for the third year in a row and one of the country’s four best workplaces for women.

Hall Brown has offices in Manchester, London, Birmingham and Liverpool as well as those in Sheffield and Leeds.

A consistent demand for its services has been accompanied by growth in staff numbers. It now has 85 employees, including 65 fee earners.
