Domestic Abuse Legal Support
At Hall Brown, we pride ourselves on acting sensitively and swiftly in cases involving domestic abuse – whether to protect our clients from harm or to prevent false allegations from being made. Our team has extensive experience in dealing with harassment and abuse, and we are here to support you through what can be an incredibly challenging time.
Recognising that you are experiencing domestic abuse or taking the first steps to leave an abusive relationship can be one of the most difficult things you’ll ever do. We are here to support you, guide you through your legal options, and prioritise your safety and that of any children involved.
There are a range of options available, including calling the police, finding a place of safety, or applying for court orders such as occupation order and/or non-molestation order. Injunctions can be obtained through the family courts to remove a perpetrator from the shared home and to prohibit them from intimidating, harassing, or contacting you.
At Hall Brown, we have specialist team members trained in supporting individuals in these situations. Our goal is to help you take the necessary steps to leave an abusive and potentially dangerous environment, always with compassion and discretion. We understand how distressing it can be to separate from an abusive partner, and we are committed to making the legal process as smooth and safe as possible.
Many survivors worry that their solicitor won’t be able to stand up to a high-conflict ex- partner. Abusers often display narcissistic or manipulative traits, and our experienced team know how to manage such behaviour during legal proceedings. We understand the tactics abusers may use, including emotional and financial manipulation and misuse of the legal process to maintain control.
We have strong connections with support services and can refer you to trusted resources to ensure you feel safe, supported, and confident in your legal team.
If you are currently experiencing or have previously experienced domestic abuse, Hall Brown’s experienced team is here to help you access protective legal measures and safeguard your rights and wellbeing. Please contact us to arrange a confidential meeting to discuss your situation.
