Bronwyn is a Senior Associate in Hall Brown’s Leeds office, specialising in all aspects of family law. Bronwyn regularly acts for clients throughout Leeds, Yorkshire and across England and Wales. She advises and represents clients in relation to divorce and dissolution, financial settlements, child arrangements, domestic abuse matters, injunctions, cohabitation disputes and modern family issues, including surrogacy.
Recognised for her strategic approach and client-focused advice, Bronwyn has particular expertise in complex and high-value financial cases involving business interests, family trusts, farming estates and substantial assets. She regularly advises high-profile individuals on financial remedy proceedings, Schedule 1 claims and pre- and post-nuptial agreements.
Bronwyn has expertise dealing with niche and often contentious financial applications such as for freezing injunctions, Hadkinson orders, interim maintenance and legal services payments orders. She also has experience in the High Court and Court of Appeal. Bronwyn has an eye for assessing cases early on and building an appropriate team around the client and has a wealth of contacts in various industries to ensure the client can be introduced to the relevant professionals to support such as divorce coaches, family therapists, independent financial advisers, accountants, pension experts etc.
Bronwyn has significant experience in Children Act proceedings, including cases conducted within the Pathfinder and Child Focused Court models. She frequently advises in matters involving serious safeguarding concerns, including allegations relating to domestic abuse, parental alienation, parenting capacity, substance misuse and police involvement.
She also has substantial experience obtaining injunctions and occupation orders to protect vulnerable clients and children. Through her broad skill set and supportive approach, Bronwyn is particularly well placed to assist survivors of domestic abuse with sensitivity and care. She can signpost clients to relevant sources of support while helping them work towards a practical and sustainable resolution.
Bronwyn has developed a particular expertise in surrogacy law and has successfully obtained parental orders for intended parents following both domestic and international surrogacy arrangements. She advises clients on the legal issues arising from modern family creation and provides practical guidance throughout the parental order process. She also has experience with relocation cases both internally in England and Wales and outside of the jurisdiction which she has successfully obtained for her clients and also successfully defended.
As an advocate of Non-Court Dispute Resolution (NCDR), Bronwyn regularly assists clients in resolving disputes away from the Court arena. She works closely with mediators and supports clients through mediation, early neutral evaluation, private FDRs and arbitration, helping families achieve constructive and cost-effective outcomes wherever possible.
Bronwyn goes the extra mile for her clients and offers valuable support alongside her straightforward advice every step of the way and as a result, has been recognised in Legal 500 for the last 3 years as a ‘key lawyer’. Bronwyn’s achievements have been recently recognised as she has been awarded Legal Professional of the Year at the Young Professional Awards 2026. Bronwyn is also the Secretary sitting on the committee for West and North Yorkshire Young Resolution and plays an active role in organising events and training for the professionals in the region. Further, she is a mentor for students at the University of York and volunteers as a legal advisor for a national charity.
