Beth Critchley
Beth joined Hall Brown in September 2025. She previously worked at the firm as a paralegal, before leaving to undertake a training contract with Farrer & Co. Upon qualification, prior to returning to Hall Brown, Beth spent three years at a specialist family law firm in London, where she gained extensive experience in a full range of family law matters and practices such as high net worth financial remedy work, non-court dispute resolution, and a range of children matters, including surrogacies and adoptions.
Beth obtained first class honours in her undergraduate law degree at the University of York, and then secured a distinction in her masters degree at BBP in Manchester.
Beth sits on Resolution’s Litigants in Person Committee and is passionate about helping people navigate the system as efficiently and easily as possible. She also volunteers with The Parents Promise, which focusses on reducing the impact of family separation on children. Outside of family law, Beth volunteers with the Social Mobility Foundation providing mentoring and reviewing university applications for students from non-traditional backgrounds, she also enjoys spending time with family and friends and going to the theatre.
