Hall Brown Family Law has revealed that a significant increase in work handled by its Leeds team has prompted a move to larger premises.

The award-winning boutique firm has recently strengthened its team with the arrival of Chartered Legal Executive Isabella O’Donoghue. Due to rapid growth, the Leeds team had outgrown its existing space in the One Park Row building and has now relocated to a new office — double the size — within the same location.

Hall Brown’s Leeds operation which opened in 2022 currently has 8 staff members and is headed up by Partner, Laura Guillon.  Earlier this month in the Legal 500 latest rankings the Leeds office jumped from ‘firm to watch’ in 2024 straight into Tier2. The Leeds office also won the prestigious ‘Family Team of the Year’ award at the Yorkshire Legal Awards in conjunction with our other Yorkshire office based in Sheffield. 

Laura is described in the Legal 500 directory as ‘exceptional’ and as being ‘among the firm’s most prominent practitioners’.

The Leeds office’s other Partner is mediator and lawyer, Sarah Manning, who heads up the firm’s Non-Court Dispute Resolution offering.  Sarah was listed as ‘Next Generation Partner’ in the latest Legal 500 directory and was also named ‘Family Mediator of the Year’s at the prestigious National Mediation Awards in 2024.

The firm has five offices in total, with its headquarters based in the Grade II-listed Ship Canal House in Manchester, as well as a London team on Bedford Row, a central Sheffield team in the Fountain Precinct Building and a Birmingham team in The Colmore Building, Queensway.

The firm now employs 79 staff across its offices, 57 of whom are fee earners.
