Hall Brown Family Law has reinforced its position as one of the most important advisors to the UK’s wealthiest individuals in a new legal industry ranking.
The latest edition of the Chambers’ High Net Worth guide has seen the firm climb a table of family lawyers supporting high net worth clients.
Four of Hall Brown’s lawyers are singled out for praise by Chambers, with three – Priya Palanivel, Izzy Walsh and Sarah Manning – also earning promotion in the classification for their efforts over the last 12 months.
Publication of the Chambers’ list comes just a month after six of Hall Brown’s lawyers featured in another prestigious review of professionals helping the country’s richest people dubbed the ‘Michelin Guide to wealth’.
The firm recently also achieved a further clean sweep of top rankings in the premier annual assessments of the UK’s legal industry.
Managing Partner James Brown has explained how the new Chambers’ High Net Worth analysis provided more evidence of Hall Brown’s unstinting emphasis on excellence.

The Chambers’ High Net Worth guide is an annual publication covering those professional advisors in the legal and financial services industries across the world who help high and ultra-high net worth clients.
This year’s edition has seen “excellent” Hall Brown elevated from Band Three to Band Two in Chambers’ ranking of firms offering Family and Matrimonial support.
Hall Brown’s Head of Non-Court Dispute Resolution (NCDR), Partner Sarah Manning is included as a Band One mediator only a year after making her first appearance on the Chambers’ High Net Worth List.
Izzy Walsh and Priya Palanivel also both move up the table, to Band Two and Band Three respectively.
Regarded by one commentator as “meticulous in her preparation”, Izzy was also described as “invaluable” by a former client.
Two of Priya’s legal peers, meanwhile, informed Chambers’ judges of her being “super-sensible” and “fantastic on all levels”.
London-based Consultant Catherine Bell, who was praised for her “excellent judgement”, retains her place in Band Five of the rankings,
It is the latest high profile high net worth recognition for Izzy and Catherine, who were among six Hall Brown lawyers named in the Spear’s 500 guide of advisors to wealthy individuals last month.
Hall Brown co-founder Sam Hall retained his place on the Spears’ list along with Manchester colleagues, Andrew Newbury and Beth Wilkins, and Andrew Breakwell, a Partner in the firm’s Birmingham office.
Inclusion on both the Spear’s and Chambers’ High Net Worth specialist guides illustrates Hall Brown’s continued strong momentum.
In April, it was named one of the UK’s 10 Best medium-sized Places to Work for the third year in a row and one of the country’s four best workplaces for women.
Hall Brown had already been placed in the top tier of Doyle’s, Legal 500, Chambers and Partners, eprivateclient and the Times’ Best Law Firms listings.
Hall Brown, which, in April, celebrated the tenth anniversary of its launch, has its headquarters in Manchester in addition to offices in London, Sheffield, Leeds, Birmingham and Liverpool.
A consistent demand for its services has been accompanied by growth in staff numbers. It now has 87 employees, including 61 fee earners.
