Bal joined Hall Brown in September 2026 and advises on all areas of family law. She specialises in handling all aspects of separation and divorce and their implications, including divorce proceedings, financial matters, children’s issues, court proceedings, non-molestation and occupation orders, domestic abuse cases and disputes between unmarried couples. Bal also find fulfilment in working on cases involving international elements, such as when one of the parties resides abroad or when certain assets are located overseas.
She undertook her Undergraduate Law Degree at Sheffield Hallam University and completed her LPC at the University of Sheffield and BPP Leeds; thereafter qualifying as a Solicitor in September 2019 at a High Street Firm in Sheffield called Bell and Buxton Solicitors before transitioning to a niche family law firm called Austin Kemp Solicitors in Leeds. She worked there from June 2021 to March 2024, advancing from a Solicitor to Associate Solicitor and Team Leader and subsequently joined Stowe’s Sheffield office in March 2024 and worked across the East of England.
Bal adopts a people-focused approach, prioritising transparency, empathy, and a commitment to securing the best outcomes for my clients with the aim of ensuring that her clients feel secure and happy as they move forward with their new lives. She believe that effective communication and meticulous attention to detail are essential components of her practice.
She was shortlisted for the “Rising Star” category at the Yorkshire Legal Awards in 2020.
In her spare time, Bal enjoys embarking on adventures and always trying new things such as skydiving and wing walking, seeking out new adrenaline-fuelled experiences. She also prioritise spending quality time with friends and family, Boxercise and Pilates classes and enjoy walks in the Peak District ending with a pub lunch as a well-deserved treat afterwards.
