Hall Brown Charity Effort Secures Sponsorship Award

The commitment of one of Manchester’s most successful new law firms to the local community has earned it a charity fundraising award.

Hall Brown Family Law has been recognised by the Forever Manchester charity for raising £3,500 on its behalf by participating in the Great Manchester Run.

That total meant that the 18-strong team who took part in the 10-kilometre event in support of the organisation claimed its ‘Cool Runnings’ award for generating more money per head than any of its other supporters.

Hall Brown Managing Partner James Brown and his fellow co-founder, Senior Partner Sam Hall, added a further visual connection completing the course dressed as some of the city’s emblematic bees on one of the hottest days of the year so far.

Mr Brown described the award as “a fillip for the footsore”.

“Our primary motivation for donning training shoes and costumes was because of our commitment to the city which we call home and an organisation which does so much for the people within it.

“Everyone who took part was simply delighted to be able to generate some money for a very worthwhile cause which is so deserving of everyone’s support.

“To have exceeded our target was immensely satisfying and receiving a trophy for our efforts is even more pleasing.

“We consider ourselves very fortunate to be based in Manchester and play a part in its development in the same way that it has contributed to our own success.”

Mr Brown explained how Forever Manchester had been chosen as Hall Brown’s designated charity for the current financial year.

Over the course of almost the last three decades, it has delivered more than £36 million for health, sport and education and environmental projects across the local community.

The charity’s Business Development Director James Hampson said that the cash raised by Hall Brown and other backers was vital to the fulfilment of its objectives.

“This money can go to help so many different people in so many different ways.

“We are not a huge organisation and, therefore, rely on the goodwill, dedication and even perspiration of supporters like Hall Brown to enable our various projects to proceed.

“It’s not possible to over-estimate how grateful we are.”
