Laura specialises in financial remedy proceedings with a particular specialism in child maintenance issues and Schedule 1 proceedings. She has dealt with numerous appeals and challenges to Child Maintenance Service (CMS).  She has significant experience working with high profile individuals and prides herself on her discretion and professionalism no matter who the client.

Laura works on cases involving complex trust assets, property abroad and issues involving enforcement in this jurisdiction and abroad. In addition she has a wealth of experience in dealing with issues prior to marriage – cohabitation agreements and pre-nuptial agreements.

Laura gives concise, straightforward advice and seeks to ‘cut through the detail’ to help her clients navigate whatever situation they may face. At the same time, she recognises the emotional impact separation has on the individuals involved and keeps a firm focus on the whole family dynamic, in particular the importance of parents maintaining a healthy working relationship following separation.

Laura is a regular contributor to legal and non-legal publications including but not limited to Family Law Journal, The Daily Mail, The Telegraph and has appeared on BBC Radio Four’s Woman’s Hour.

Legal 500 describe her as “exceptional” and as being “among the firm’s most prominent practitioners”. She is also named as a ‘Rising Star’.

Laura is half French and speaks French fluently.
